Singin' the Blues?

You know how it is when everything feels hard. You are sick and tired of being sick and tired but you can't find the energy to do anything about it. You just want to curl up in bed and sleep your life away because it all feels too much.

You're singin' the blues, baby...

You may be facing some crappy circumstances, but you don't have to remain there indefinitely.

Women are, by nature, nurturers and we tend to make sure everyone else's needs are taken care of first. But where does that leave us? By the time we care for everyone else, our energy is depleted and we never make it on our own lists.

It's time to change that. It's time you put yourself at the top of your list...not in a selfish "it's- all-about-me" way, but in a "I'm valuable and need to take care of me, too" sense. If you keep putting yourself last, you'll never live your best life because you're too busy ensuring everyone else is living theirs.

You need time to refill your cup, time to think and dream, time to go within and get clear on exactly what it is that you want. By being everything to everyone we, somewhere along the way, lose ourselves. We don't know what we want and can't for the life of us remember what brings us pure joy.

What's the remedy?

I want you to begin to carve out an hour a day to do anything YOU want to do. This is not the time to tackle things on your to-do list. No, this is time you are going to use to uplift your spirit, refresh your mind, and re-energize your body. This is non-negotiable.

It is preferable if your "you time" is first thing in the morning. If you try to squeeze it into your already busy day, it is unlikely to ever happen. What would you do with sixty minutes of your time?

Would you work on your biz, go for a walk, write that book, drink coffee at a cafe, listen to music, read, journal, paint your nails or call a friend? As you make this Power Hour part of your daily routine, it won't be long before you can kiss those blues away. #byefelicia
