I had a promo code for a free rental from Redbox yesterday that I wanted to use, so I chose Unbroken. It is based on a true story about Louis Zamperini.

This movie was one of the best I have seen in a long time. Louis started out as a troublemaker as a kid but went on to break records in track, compete in the Olympics and survive not only being adrift at sea for 47 days but also survived his captivity as a POW during World War II.

I found myself holding my breath several times during the movie. Louie's strength, determination and his will to survive was inspiring. The things those men endured is incomprehensible to my mind. To endure regular beatings and being forced to work with so little nourishment is astounding.

What this movie showed me is that the human spirit can not be easily broken.

You've made me want to watch this movie Tracy, when I wasn't that fussed about seeing it before. Thanks for that, it sounds amazing. I love inspiring viewing.
