One Step Closer To My Goals

I am so excited! I have reached one of the goals I set for myself. It was to have $500 in savings by the end of the year. That is done!

We also now have Tricare insurance.

My other goal is to have CC#1 paid off by the end of the year. It now has a balance of $936.73. This is one is going to be a stretch to accomplish in 8 weeks, but I'm going to do my best to make it happen.

Yay!
love meeting those little goals. Good for you! Glad about the insurance too. We're looking at other options here as well.
Best of luck to you getting that CC paid down. I hope you get it paid off that would be something!
Are you continuing to add to savings too, at the same time as paying down the CC?
Just curious.

Yes I will continue to save a little money each week, but my main focus will be reduce our debt as quickly as possible. But the savings is important to have in case of emergencies so we don't resort to credit & incurring more debt.

Doesn't it feel good? I am really proud of your determination Tracy!

I've been pushing hard to repay a loan we took from ourselves in April to pay for the back porch. It should have taken me at least 12 months but I've been adding in every single extra in along the way that I can. I just realized this week that I can pay this off in November if I hold the payment one more paycheck and then take to the bank and pay off on the day it's due...And I mean to do just that. One less payment to have to make in December? Oh heck yeah! And to pay it off four months in advance ain't too bad either.

Terri - thank you! And how great that you were able to repay the loan earlier than originally planned!
