Painted Bunting

While sitting out on the front porch early this morning, Alfred and I saw this beautiful Painted Bunting! A first for us both. How I wish I could have watched him longer but Clover the Cat was in hot pursuit. But have no fear - Mr. Bunting escaped with relative ease. What a precious gift and on Earth Day, too!

Wow! What a beauty. It's good you were able to snap a good shot of it. Good job! Love that little blue head. Thanks for sharing. It makes my heart lighter.

Oh my goodness, I've never seen one of these birds before! He's amazingly beautiful, isn't he? We don't have the very colorful birds here, with the exception of just a couple. What a wonderful gift to you, this Earth Day.

I saw one in my mother in law's garden. They're such beautiful birds. I'm glad you had the pleasure of seeing one in your yard.
