wow! I just watched that video, Tracy, WOW is about all I can say, we Americans have just too much stuff, don't we?really makes me think.
I'm all for less stuff and just enough living space. But I also get tired of shows which invite comparisons with the way "others" live. The differences between our country and other countries, are so enormous... That it's superficial to compare. Plus, I have no interest in anything Oprah pushes, thank you very much. And I guess I still live in a Free Country, where I can hold this view. But then again, the Admin. has declared war on Fox News, because Fox doesn't agree with them all the time. Mmmmm.... So, is it still a Free Country? Can I not applaud Oprah???????? Who certainly is loved by this Administration...
That resonated with me too! Loved it!
I believe that statement - with my two little guys and way too many things for them, I found that my year off with them was spent trying to tidy and organize and keep up. It should have been focusing mostly on them. I'm now tossing, recycling, sharing, selling and moving on lots of things, not the least is a full box of toys tonight! I finally decided (as you may have seen on CHL) that I need simplicity and I need to spend my time with my family interacting and playing while they are little - not organizing clutter! In my country and yours we just have too much stuff and not enough sense to see it. Yep, like you, I yearn for simplicity. (even though I have a pack rat mentality!)
