Snapshots

Michael's is fast becoming one of my favorite places! I bought this wooden plaque for $1.99 and painted it a sage green, adding the Victorian lady from a scrapbook image package. It seems a bit plain...I haven't decided whether to embellish it further or leave it be. Any ideas?

I won the cute little bag and lilac goat milk soap from a giveaway on Cathleen's blog. The pink plaque is another of my craft projects. Aunt Amelia sent me a lovely letter. I picked up the cheerful vase at the dollar store. I'm currently reading Above Rubies magazine and Love Your Life by Victoria Osteen.

Crocheted bookmarks sent from an anonymous friend.
I love the delicate details.

Kendall with his first car - a 2003 Kia Spectra.
My boy is growing up...

A new bloom in the garden...

A slithering visitor in our front yard.
Don't worry...
he is not poisonous!

Alfred and I in our gis.
We start our classes next Tuesday.
Eeek!

I love your photos! That flower is gorgeous! I like the plaque, but I could see it with more embellishment. That's great that you and Alfred can take that class together. DH went to yoga once with me and I'm glad he did b/c now he "gets" it.

You know, I almost want to put Victorian children at play or learning scooped under and around her. She reminds me of the big sister or the teacher.

You look so cool in your martial art get-ups! Kick butt!!

I Do like Michael's...and JoAnns but my favorit store by far is Home Depot....Your plaques are very pretty...but I agree the buttons would look great...I have decorated with buttons before and I am amazed how much charm they add...I see someone is going to send you some goodies...I can not wait to see what you do with them....
Hugs,

Love these snapshots, especially the last one. You have such a beautiful face :-) Those plaques might look nice with your daughters' names on them and then attached to their bedroom doors or above their beds. Or you might super-glue some sticky-out things on them for a hat holding thingy.

You could get one of those painting pens in a pearly pink and paint over the scrolled edges.
