Sugary Bliss

This is a day where a bit of Christmas magic happens. As we speak my girls are with my neighbors on their way to a Christmas parade. And if that wasn't enough, we will be attending our small town's parade tonight!

I am sure there are visions of candy canes, chocolates, and sugar plums dancing in the girls' pretty little heads. Such sugary bliss only happens once a year.

It is nice to have something the children can look forward to outside the ordinary every day rhythms. Special days they can tuck away in their hearts and look back upon with fond memories of a happy childhood.

Such things can not be bought. It takes only a willingness to create such treasured times, sprinkled liberally with lots of love.

Even with sons grown for me..the time is filled with moments..moments of tender "just do~ings" and those little slips of time will make the treasured memories of tomorrow :)

Don't you just love everything about Christmas. We live near Virginia City, Nevada and they have Christmas on the Comstock and I love to go to the parade and all the festivities.

Where you live sounds like such a wonderful place, it even has a parade?! It reminds me of Gilmore Girls' Stars Hollow. Beautiful! I always wanted to live in a place like that.
