We watched The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian last night and we really enjoyed it. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and the story is wonderful - full of action and imagination. Good vs. evil with goodness conquering all.

I admit to crying a river of tears when a good portion of the Narnians were caught within the palace walls, their fate then being sealed, as they watched the ones who were able to escape capture from behind the iron gates. Heart-wrenching!

I have such compassion and a love for animals (many of the Narnians were animals and a few were part animal/part human). I dare say, I have a greater compassion for them than for humans, for animals are wild and free, following their natural instincts. The domesticated ones are dependent upon the care and treatment of their owners. Love and care for your pets and they are faithful companions.

Humans can be so fickle and unkind with hidden motives. With the animal kingdom, what you see is what you get.

My family has enjoyed both of the Narnia movies. I used to read the books to my children when they were little.

In that vein, today someone suggested an experiment where you lock your hubby and your dog in the car trunk for an hour and then let them out and see which one is glad to see you. Animals are special and we have a responsibility to take good care of them.

I actually live in that place. So beautiful, just exactly like a magical kingdom.
