Show and Tell Friday

This is one of my favorite pictures of my maternal grandmother, Lois Lorraine Bess Rasmussen. Us kids always called her Mom, because that's what everyone else called her.
.::smile::.
When she was young her family lived in California and she was often mistaken for Carol Lombard (see photo below)! In those days Hollywood was truly glamorous.

Thank YOU for visiting!

I love looking at old photographs and portraits! There is just something about them. Makes me wonder what life they lived, what they were thinking while sitting for the painting or the photo session...this one is the same for me. Love it.

My Show n Tell is a bit artsy - do hope you can find time to stop by. Happy weekend.

What a beautiful woman! It's easy to see where you got your looks from. I love those old hairstyles and looks. Wish they'd come back in style!

I miss this glamour, this beauty women used to celebrate. Beacons of light and power. Your grandmother was so lovely and fantastic!

What a beautiful woman and a beautifully tinted photo. The Hollywood 'glamour era' is one of my favorite times.
