An Anniversary of Sorts

Sixteen years ago today was the start of my relationship with Alfred. We had a whirlwind courtship (he proposed after 3 weeks), and were married in June of the same year. By chance we met and later fell in love.

We've talked about our childhoods and realized that we could have crossed paths so many times. We were so close, and yet so far. Destiny brought us together at the right place and time.

Oh, I identify with this post. My sweetheart and I met and had a whirlwind romance, too. He proposed just over five weeks later and we were married two and a half months after that. Our paths crossed so many times and we could have met often through the years before that - from our Jr. and Sr. High School and college days. Often we were in the same place at the same time. But it was not meant to be until that one special day when we met and the rest is history. We just celebrated 36 years of marriage. It has been an adventure, for sure. ~Adrienne~
