It's That Time of Year Again...

Turn your clocks back an hour tonight before bed, for it's Daylight Savings Time once more! With less daylight and cooler nights, it's time for seasonal changes in the home.

~ Light scented candles in apple-cinnamon, candy cane, balsam & cedar, or pumpkin spice to bring a little warmth and coziness to your rooms.

~ Break out the puzzles, board games, and movies you haven't had a chance to see yet and have a family fun night once a week with hot cocoa, popcorn, or homemade cookies.

~ Bake regularly and let the kids help - homemade breads, cookies, cakes, and pies. Stock up on baking supplies when items are on sale!

~ Pick a book to read as a family before bedtime. Little House on the Prairie series is one of my favorites.

~ Make your favorite hearty meals, soups, stews and chili!

~ Change your cotton sheets to flannel ones and add a cozy blanket to the foot of each bed in case it is needed on those really cold nights.

~ Do arts and crafts when it's just too cold to go outdoors. We like to draw, make necklaces and bracelets with beads, cross-stitch, embroidery, paint-by-number kits, paint suncatchers and various other things.

Enjoy the beauty of the season!

I've got my flannel sheets on the bed! That tells me it's fall! We played Racko with friends last weekend and had a blast! Have a great weekend.
