Progress is being made on the house - as far as getting things back in order. I still need to declutter, but I'm getting there. Today I'll be doing general cleaning, laundry, baking cookies, planning my weekly menu and shopping list, and I have to run a few errands in town.
Yesterday while watching the birds out the window, I saw a mockingbird with a bug in its mouth being followed by a juvenile mockingbird who was chirping and holding its mouth open to be fed. And I watched as the one with the bug fed the young one....that was a first!
I believe the squirrels must be eating the birdseed, too, because the feeder is now empty! I'll buy more birdseed tomorrow when we go shopping.
Alfred and I are going on a date Saturday. We're heading to the Hard Rock Cafe/casino in Biloxi. He's always wanted to go to the Hard Rock and I have never been to a casino ~ so it will be an adventure.
We also registered for a marriage seminar/weekend getaway for October for couples whose spouses have been deployed to Iraq. I wanted to do it last year, but Alfred didn't. This year he wants to so I'm looking forward to that. It's going to be held at a fancy condo at the beach where celebrities supposedly stay. Sounds fun!
The morning air was cooler, but it's still supposed to be hot and we're still under a heat advisory. There's not much we can do other than just deal with it and stay indoors where it's cooler. This, too, shall eventually pass!
