What a Night!

There is nothing quite like waking up to water pouring into your home due to a busted pipe...Yes, that happened to us at 2am! In the kids' bathroom, the pipe that runs up through the floor to the toilet blew off the valve & water was gushing in soaking the carpet in the bathroom & all the way down the hallway. Alfred ran outside to turn the water off to the house & we had to turn the central heat off because water was in the air ducts. So we turned the stove on for heat because it was downright freezing!
Fortunately for us, Alfred's boss sent a general contractor who does alot of workfor him over to help fix the mess. It only took a few minutes to repair & he didn't charge us one cent...What a blessing that was! We rented a steam-cleaner to get the water up out of the carpets, then Alfred decided we may as well clean the carpet throughout the house - which HE did. ;)
Now, I have to get everything put back in its place, finish cleaning, and then get to my prep work for our Thanksgiving dinner!
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving. May it be filled with peace and thankfulness....I know ours will!

Oh! I am so sorry for the broken pipe and all the extra work it caused for you and your husband. What a great guy to clean the carpets while he was at it!! Well, much to be thankful for at your house since it was all fixed fairly easily and no real damage. Happy Thanksgiving!
