A Cozy Home

"She always enjoyed visiting the Ingallses. They were generous hosts, and their log cabin was especially homey, with colorful rag rugs covering the wide plank floors and red-and-white-checked curtains at the windows. The rooms always smelled of apples and cloves and cinnamon. At this time of year braids of onions hung from the rafters, and every corner held pyramids of orange pumpkins and golden squash."
