Homeschooling

Today is our first official day of homeschool. We are beginning our fourth year. Public school started last week on August 10th, but since my Mom was down visiting we pushed our date back a few more days.

We are easing back into our homeschool routine. Today we read from Prudence and The Millers and learned about being prudent in our health, did math, copywork was a Bible verse (Proverbs 22:3).

Our family read-aloud is about Laura Ingall Wilder's great-grandmother Martha Morse Tucker, who lived in Scotland. The book is "Little House in the Highlands" by Melissa Wiley.

Next, my children have free reading and chores. Then, they have free time in which they can be work on any crafts, hobbies, play, draw, etc.

Later on this week, I am hoping to take the kids to the beach one day this week to walk along the shore and see what we can find to add to our Nature Journals and take a few great pictures, too, which I'll be sure to share with you all. Of course, it all depends on the weather. :)

Wishing you a lovely day! xx
